Steve
started his dive career in 2002 as a PADI open water diver. After a trip
to Belize in 2003, he returned to training to earn his Master Diver
certification. In 2006, he turned professional by completing the PADI
Divemaster certification. During a random chance encounter in Cozumel,
Mexico, Steve found his true passion in life, cave diving. He trained
with German Yañez reaching the certification level of full cave diver.
He is an active member in many cave organizations and spends a great
deal of time volunteering in cave conservation efforts in Florida,
Mexico and Texas. Steve became so dedicated to cave diving, he decided
to become an instructor so he could share is enthusiasm with cave diving
with the rest of the world. He completed the PADI IE and became a PADI
MSDT two months later. He has since completed cave instructor training
and is currently working on publishing his own complete cave diving
manual as well as advanced wreck diving courses. Steve has become known
in the DFW Metroplex as one of the most dedicated cave diver/trainers
there is. He has logged over 500 dives in various caves around the
world. His passion for cave environments is second to none in the DFW
area. If you want information on cave diving you should certainly make a
trip to SI Scuba to speak directly with him. Steve will be completing
the PADI DSAT instructor training in January 2010 and will begin
Technical instruction through Trimix in Texas, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
and Cozumel, Mexico.
